The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to the segment's leadership team, providing guidance on how technology can be a catalyst for growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage. This role requires a deep understanding of the business, a strong command of technology, and the ability to influence and lead in a matrixed organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that all IT initiatives, from infrastructure to applications, are aligned with the segment's strategic objectives and deliver measurable results. This leader will also act as a savvy broker of shared IT services, ensuring that centralized resources, such as infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications, are effectively leveraged to meet the segment's unique demands.
Key Responsibilities
  • Global Strategy Execution & Segment Alignment: Champion the execution of Modine's global IT strategy within the business segment. Serve as the primary IT thought leader and strategic advisor to segment leadership, ensuring the segment-specific IT roadmap is fully aligned with both business goals and the company-wide technology direction. Proactively work to dovetail segment needs into the global strategy, advocating for local requirements while maintaining corporate standards.
  • Business Process Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities to improve and streamline business processes through the strategic use of technology. Champion initiatives that drive operational excellence, cost savings, and increased productivity.
  • Shared Services Brokerage: Act as the primary liaison between the business segment and central IT teams. Translate segment-specific needs into clear requirements for shared services. Negotiate and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure performance meets business expectations, and clearly communicate the value and cost of these services back to segment leadership.
  • Portfolio Management & Execution: Manage the IT project portfolio for the business segment, ensuring that projects are prioritized based on business value and are delivered on time and within budget. Collaborate with the IT PMO to secure resources and manage execution.
  • Solution Delivery: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT solutions for the business segment, from requirements gathering and design to implementation and support. Ensure that all solutions meet the business's needs and are scalable, secure, and reliable.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the business segment and across the IT organization. Act as the primary point of contact for all IT matters within the segment.
  • Vendor and Budget Management: Manage relationships with key IT vendors and service providers. Oversee the IT budget for the business segment, ensuring that investments are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver a strong return.
  • Innovation and Emerging Technology: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Identify and champion innovative solutions that have the potential to create a competitive advantage for the business segment.

Required Education & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5-8 years in a leadership or strategic business partner role at a publicly traded corporation.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand business strategy and financial drivers. Experience working closely with business leaders to develop and implement IT solutions that drive business results.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and influencing in a matrixed environment. The ability to build consensus and drive change without direct authority is essential.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is highly preferred.
  • Global Experience: Experience working in a global organization and managing IT initiatives across different regions and cultures.
  • ERP Knowledge: Experience with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) is a significant plus.
