The pay range for this position is $27.40-$36.59 paid hourly, offers will be based on the successful candidate's experience.  

Role and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the IT Systems Admin will take primary ownership of the company's core infrastructure, cloud environments, and security systems.

  • Infrastructure Ownership: Manage and maintain on-premise and hybrid infrastructure, including virtualization platforms, Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy), application/database servers, and web servers.
  • Network & Security: Administer and secure network hardware (switches, firewalls, WAPs), manage endpoint security solutions, and oversee email and web security platforms.
  • Cloud & Systems Administration: Administer the corporate Microsoft 365 environment (including Exchange, Entra, Intune, and SharePoint), cloud infrastructure (Azure), and various enterprise business applications.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Oversee, monitor, and regularly test enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions across both local and cloud storage.
  • Log Management & Security Monitoring: Manage system log monitoring tools and assist in evaluating, selecting, and implementing future cybersecurity defenses (such as a dedicated SIEM)
  • Automation: Utilize PowerShell and scripting to automate routine administrative tasks, deployments, and improve overall system efficiency.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT systems and network topologies. Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to the IT Supervisor, IT Analysts, and IT Technicians.
  • Technical Escalation: Serve as the Tier 3 technical escalation point for the IT service desk team for complex hardware, software, server, and network issues.

Education and Experience 

  • Associate's degree in IT or a related field, or 5 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS) and enterprise virtualization (e.g., VMware).
  • Proven experience administering cloud platforms and enterprise SaaS environments, specifically the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Microsoft Azure.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts and experience managing network hardware (firewalls, switches, WAPs).
  • Experience implementing and testing enterprise backup and disaster recovery strategies. Proficiency in PowerShell or similar scripting languages for system automation. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Relevant industry certifications (such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or VMware certifications) are highly preferred.
