General Description:

We are seeking an IT Project Manager to join our team. The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading cross functional initiatives from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects meet defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. This role applies standardized project management practices to drive disciplined execution, proactively manage risks and dependencies, and maintain stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

Project Leadership & Execution
  • Lead cross functional projects from initiation through completion using PMO defined methodologies, tools, and governance.

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and timelines.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including tasks, milestones, dependencies, and resource needs.

  • Coordinate project activities across business and technical teams to maintain momentum and delivery focus.

  • Manage vendor activities, including participation in RFP development, evaluation, and oversight of contracted deliverables.

Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.

  • Facilitate alignment across business, technical, and functional partners.

  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and decisions clearly and proactively.

  • Deliver accurate, stakeholder appropriate project reporting and updates.

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
  • Identify, assess, and manage project level risks, issues, and dependencies.

  • Develop and track mitigation plans; escalate risks and issues as appropriate.

  • Assess the impact of changes to scope, schedule, resources, or priorities.

Financial & Resource Management
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking in accordance with PMO standards.

  • Track actuals and escalate projected budget variances.

  • Coordinate project level resource planning and capacity considerations.

Governance & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including charters, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and change requests.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational governance, delivery standards, and quality controls.

  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement practices.

Change Support
  • Support change management activities by identifying stakeholder impacts and contributing to communication and training planning as part of project delivery.

Expected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law.

Special projects and duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Cross-functional project leadership from initiation through delivery.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3-5 years of professional project management experience.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering medium complexity business and/or technology projects.

  • Experience working in a PMO or governed delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • PMP certification.

  • Previous experience in a law firm a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
