Staff Accountant

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and general ledger management while working closely with accounting leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Ledger & Month-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end close cycles, preparing standard journal entries, accruals, and supporting workpapers.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform regular bank, balance sheet, intercompany, and subledger reconciliations; research and resolve variances in a timely manner.
  • Financial Operations: Support accounts payable, billing, and asset tracking processes to ensure subledger accuracy.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare financial datasets, preliminary trial balances, and supporting schedules for variance analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance data accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of core corporate accounting experience.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in enterprise accounting software/ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus).
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (lookup formulas, pivot tables, and data reconciliations).
  • Core Competencies: Solid understanding of GAAP, high attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines during close cycles.
