Overview
ENERCON's Power Delivery Group is seeking a Utility Major Projects Project Manager to join the team. In this dynamic role, you will lead engineering projects, collaborate with technical teams to create detailed proposals, and manage all aspects of project execution, including schedules, risk management, and financial health. You'll drive client satisfaction through effective communication, high-quality deliverables, and strong relationship-building, while overseeing the work of engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes. This position can be based in the following locations:
  • Tampa, FL
  • Palm Beach Gardens, FL
  • Lake Mary, FL (Orlando)

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution: Plan and execute large-scale electric utility expansion projects (including transmission, substation, and distribution scopes) to accommodate new load from major commercial and residential developments. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, project plans, risk management plans, and quality plans
  • Cross-Functional Coordination & Reporting: Interface with multiple departments to track progress and ensure project requirements are met. Develop and submit detailed project reports
  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Develop requests for proposals (RFPs) and support bidding processes. Foster and maintain working relationships with assigned vendors, acting as a single point of contact for assigned projects
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Support client interactions and manage project scope to ensure satisfaction for both the client and the company #LI-MD1

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent technical training and experience
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in electric utility engineering, construction, or project management
  • Experience managing large-scale electric utility projects strongly preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience building and maintaining project schedules and budgets
  • Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, decision-making, and presentation skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6 and GIS software preferred
  • Ability to travel locally throughout the service area 25% of the time
