ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and report comprehensive budget-to-actual variance analysis across multiple branches and/or an entire region, identifying trends, root causes, and actionable recommendations for management.
- Lead producer payable audit processes end-to-end, resolve complex or non-routine errors, and prepare and distribute monthly reports to specified payees; recommend procedural improvements to reduce recurring discrepancies.
- Design, prepare, and analyze periodic and ad-hoc business management reports; develop new reporting frameworks and refine existing templates to enhance management visibility and decision-making.
- Assume responsibility for independently researching, tracking, and resolving complex accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies, including cross-functional issues requiring coordination across departments.
- Lead and perform business management systems audits; evaluate audit findings and recommend process or control improvements.
- Oversee the premium finance agreement submission process, proactively identifying systemic issues and implementing solutions to ensure timely and accurate funding.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with company personnel and management, including presenting analytical findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct complex transactions; serve as a point of escalation for cross-departmental discrepancies.
- Assist Accounting Department personnel as needed, providing guidance on complex accounting matters.
- Keep management informed of area activities, significant problems, and recommended solutions.
- Provide light mentoring and guidance to Financial Operations Analyst I staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy, answering procedural questions, and supporting their professional development.
