FINANCIAL OPERATIONS ANALYST II JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a senior-level individual contributor role for experienced professionals whodemonstrateadvanced analytical capabilities, independent judgment, and the ability to manage complex financial operations across broader organizational scope. The Financial Operations Analyst IIoperateswith a high degree of autonomy, serves as a subject matter resource for the team, and provides light mentoring to Analyst I staff.
Responsible for providing advanced operational accounting, business analytics, and process oversight in the operations department. Must be able to accurately compute, report, and verify numerical data in a professional and knowledgeable manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and general accounting principles. Exercises independent judgment to resolve complex issues,identifyprocess improvements, and supportmanagementdecision-making through insightful analysis and recommendations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform and report comprehensive budget-to-actual variance analysis across multiple branches and/or an entire region,identifyingtrends, root causes, and actionable recommendations for management.
Lead producer payable audit processes end-to-end, resolve complex or non-routine errors, and prepare and distribute monthly reports to specified payees; recommend procedural improvements to reduce recurring discrepancies.
Assume responsibility forindependentlyresearching, tracking, and resolving complex accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies, including cross-functional issues requiring coordination across departments.
Provide light mentoring and guidance to Financial Operations Analyst I staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy, answering procedural questions, and supporting their professional development.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related roles, withdemonstratedgrowth in scope and responsibility.
Advanced competency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, complex formulas, data visualization);proficiencyin Word and Outlook.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately, including percentages, fractions, decimals, and complex financialformulae.
Strong working knowledge of agency workflow procedures and software, underwriting, sales, and service processes.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, ora relatedfieldrequired; 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis roles.
LICENSING OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Nonerequired. Professional certifications such asMBA,CPA, CMA, or progress toward completion are preferred and viewed favorably.
