The Opportunity
This role supports the financial operations of Florida's Prepaid College and 529 Savings Plans through accurate processing and record maintenance. It ensures compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls.
By maintaining reliable financial data, it helps families plan confidently for future education.
This role is based in our Tallahassee, FL office.
What You Will Do
  • Financial Operations & Reconciliation: Manage check/ACH distributions, prepare and review reconciliations, and continuously improve reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Process Improvement & Risk Management: Evaluate workflows, procedures, and controls to streamline operations, eliminate redundancies, and recommend enhancements that minimize financial risk.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Maintain and produce ad hoc, daily, weekly, and monthly departmental reports. Implement reporting solutions that add functionality and support informed decision-making.
  • Vendor & Contract Oversight: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and outsourced function implementations, ensuring compliance and service quality.
  • Audit & Compliance Support: Assist in preparing audit documentation, respond to testing and inquiries, and support financial control initiatives.
  • Customer & Client Support: Resolve complex customer account issues, conduct research, and provide timely responses while ensuring adherence to policies and guidelines.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with leadership to identify issues, recommend solutions, and support organizational goals through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Other Duties: Complete additional assignments accurately and within deadlines, contributing to overall departmental success.

Requirements
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred with degree minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting/analysis, fraud detection, or auditing/investigation with a minimum of 5 years of experience in business process analysis.
  • Required technical skills: Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), Intermediate Microsoft Word, familiarity with MS Teams or Zoom-like platforms, intermediate to advanced financial/mathematical skills.
  • Additional seeking strong leadership and adaptability, detail-oriented with excellent analytical ability, customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset, Excellent oral and written communication skills, Ability to multi-task effectively
