Job description

Webull is a leading digital brokerage platform built on next generation global infrastructure. At Webull, we believe that everyone should have an equal opportunity to control their own financial future. Our vision has always been to empower individual investors with the tools and resources they need to succeed financially. This commitment remains at the heart of everything we do. From low-fee trading and robust market data to advanced analytical tools, we are committed to providing a seamless, top-tier trading experience.
About The Role & Team
We're expanding our Finance organization at Webull and are looking to bring on an Associate Director / Sr. Associate Director of Financial Operations. This role can sit in either our Global HQ in St. Petersburg, Florida or our New York office, and will play a critical role in supporting our growing self-clearing and institutional brokerage infrastructure.
Following our approvals for self-clearing, this individual will serve as a key operational and financial partner across Finance, Operations, Risk, Institutional, and Engineering teams. The role will focus heavily on regulatory financial operations, liquidity management, clearing workflows, suspense management, and operational scalability as Webull continues expanding its institutional and brokerage capabilities.
This is a highly cross-functional role with direct exposure to the core financial infrastructure supporting the brokerage business, including daily reserve and net capital calculations, clearing operations, and strategic institutional buildouts.
In This Role, You Will
  • Manage and oversee daily SEC Rule 15c3-1 net capital calculations and SEC Rule 15c3-3 reserve calculations.
  • Support daily liquidity management, cash flow monitoring, and funding workflows across clearing and settlement operations.
  • Monitor and resolve clearing cash suspense breaks, cash reconciliation issues, and operational exceptions tied to brokerage activity.
  • Partner closely with Finance leadership on liquidity stress testing, capital forecasting, and operational risk analysis.
  • Assist in scaling and supporting institutional brokerage buildouts and operational infrastructure initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Risk, Institutional, Legal, and Engineering teams to improve workflows and automate operational controls.
  • Partner with internal developers and product teams to support system enhancements, operational tooling, and financial operations scalability.
  • Support oversight of financial operations matters related to clearing, settlement, omnibus agreement workflows, and self-clearing operational functions.
  • Serve as a key operational finance resource supporting regulatory audits, examinations, and internal control initiatives.

The Skills You Bring
  • 5-8+ years of experience within broker-dealer financial operations, brokerage accounting, or financial control environments.
  • Strong understanding of SEC Rule 15c3-1 and SEC Rule 15c3-3 calculations and operational impacts.
  • Experience working within a carrying broker-dealer, self-clearing firm, or institutional brokerage environment.
  • Hands-on exposure to financial clearing operations, suspense management, liquidity workflows, and brokerage financial operations.
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally and manage operational or institutional infrastructure-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of brokerage operational flows and how transactions move through finance and general ledger environments.

What Makes You Stand Out
  • Series 27 license strongly preferred. Candidates without an accounting degree should ideally possess a Series 27 due to the operational and financial complexity of the role.
  • Experience supporting self-clearing or omnibus brokerage structures.
  • Background working with global broker-dealer or institutional brokerage environments.
  • Experience partnering with technology teams on automation, operational tooling, or system buildouts.
  • CPA is a plus, but not required.
