Job description

We are seeking an IT Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects across the organization. This role will work closely with project managers, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to coordinate project activities, track milestones, manage documentation, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting multiple IT initiatives simultaneously.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for IT projects including scheduling meetings, tracking action items, and maintaining project plans.
  • Assist project managers with project execution, timelines, resource coordination, and status reporting.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
  • Maintain project documentation, meeting notes, risks, issues, and change requests.
  • Monitor project progress and escalate risks, roadblocks, and dependencies as needed.
  • Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
  • Track budgets, project expenditures, and resource utilization where applicable.
  • Create and distribute project status reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
  • Coordinate testing activities, deployment schedules, training, and go-live support.
  • Ensure project governance standards and PMO processes are followed.
  • Manage project artifacts using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint.
  • Assist in portfolio reporting and project prioritization efforts.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting IT projects in a Project Coordinator, PMO Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience coordinating technology projects involving infrastructure, software development, cloud, ERP, cybersecurity, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or Monday.com.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a PMO environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • CAPM, CSM, PMP, or other project management certifications.
  • Experience with project financial tracking and reporting.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT service management processes.
