Job Title:                                  Program  Manager NPDI Busbar LOB

Function/Department:               NPDI, Program Management Busbar PL

Reports to:                               Sr. Manager, Global Programme Management- NPDI (Busbar)

Location:                                  Anderson, South Carolina, USA 


 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Manager is responsible and accountable for the cross-functional co-oridination of new product development and sustaining projects. These projects range in complexity that span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The Program Manager coordinates the efforts of engineering, offering management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, order fulfillment, logistics, service, marketing, sales and other cross functional groups to optimize time to market while monitoring project and product cost, schedule and resources. The Program Manager must build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with project stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization, to ensure success of the projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the agreed upon scope
  • Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path
  • Provide executive-level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors
  • Follow reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and cost
  • Identify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip
  • Identify key risks and prepare contingency plans
  • Ensure the projects are following the NPDi, New Product Develop & Introduction process
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects      

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3~5 Years of experience in project management
  • Must have experience in New product development project management in a manufacturing industry

    (Experience in IT is not considered)

  • Must have experience in water fall ( stage gate) project management method
  • Must have good communication skill 
  • Should have knowledge in risk management and risk  response methods.
  • Should have idea about Gantt Chart schedule management
  • Experience in communication management among stake holders
  • Experince in project KPI reporting
  • Must have experience in project planning
  • Demonstrated competence in problem-solving, data analysis, project planning
  • Experience leading cross functional meetings and presenting to small groups, both in person and via conference call
  • Ability to quickly develop cross functional relationships to achieve business objectives
  • Process and results-oriented with proven ability to accomplish goals
  • Experience with 3-phase power distribution or Busbar products is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Microsoft Project or smartsheet experience preffered
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical engineering preffered. 
  • PMP or any other project management training preferred  ( Certification not compulsury)
