Job description

Eventide is currently seeking a Full Time IT Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator provides maintenance of the computer desktop and server environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the Internal IT help desk. This position works within the department as well as with other departments with implementation of software, hardware and solutions to support the different business functions of Eventide.

Ideal Candidate

  • Associate Degree or formal education in systems administration (technology) preferred or work equivalent
  • Ability to demonstrate competency in the areas of work relations and teamwork, with a guest, resident, and customer focus
  • Strong project management skills

Essential Job Duties

  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop, notebook computers, and telephones. Install and configure software in accordance with department policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain software and hardware inventory and develop replacement cycle.
  • Help Maintain network security across organization.
  • Provide updates to internal customers on solutions and manage expectations and timing of resolution as needed. Work closely with employees at all levels of the organization when responding to issues.
  • Help research technology related business solutions, recommend best practices, software and hardware best practices, and recommend solutions for short term and long-term strategies.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors as needed.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
  • SharePoint Administration.
  • Work with Active Directory.
  • Be familiar and able to work with Virtual Servers and Virtual Environments.
  • Be a part of a rotating on-call schedule
  • Available for after hours or emergency assistance based on need.
