Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The IT Program Manager will be required to lead multiple inter-related projects toward a common business objective. He/she will provide overall management support for the projects to ensure they all move together toward meeting that objective.
***This role is primarily remote/work from home. Hire will be asked to go onsite monthly, so must be local to the Charleston, SC Tri-County area.
Essential Job Functions
  • Practices cohesive leadership and executes vision for the program deliverable
  • Serves as single point of contact for the individual Project Managers and business stakeholders
  • Plans and monitors program execution
  • Creates detailed project plans with accurate schedules and task breakdown structures with defined milestones from individual project level and align them with overall program requirements
  • Accurately captures appropriate requirements information for project documentation
  • Shares and collaborates among common resources across a program
  • Leverages lessons learned
  • Utilizes the project and program management tool set and processes expertly
  • Coordinates Command Center Logistics and Go-live communications
  • Provides executive level reports and status updates
  • Provides input pertaining to milestones and tracks assigned projects against budget
  • Practices proactive risk identification and mitigation at the program level
  • Ensures the accuracy and quality of project data, and ensuring that data is consistent with stakeholder expectations and key metrics as defined in the program specifications and / or project charters

Licensing/Certification
  • Project Management Professional - Project Management Institute (required)

Work Experience
  • 7-10 years' experience in Project Management (required)
  • 5 years' experience coordinating and / supporting IT business processes (preferred)

  • Possesses strong business acumen, specifically related to assessing business readiness and mitigation plans. Can recognize acronyms, understands industry and internal business initiatives and strategic directives
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with project managers, project teams, and initiative leadership
