We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Program Manager to join our team. As an IT Program Manager, you will play a

pivotal role in driving transformational projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver results. If you are a motivated, proactive leader with a passion for driving transformational change in various technological domains, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Project and Program Leadership: Lead and manage moderate to complex IT programs and projects in the Wood Products space from initiation to completion. Take ownership and accountability for project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related activities. Develop a program plan that outlines the scope, timelines, resource requirements, and interdependencies among projects.

  • Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project and program plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Coordinate project activities, track progress, and manage project risks and issues. Implement effective project management methodologies and best practices (experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid). Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring adherence to the project plan and timelines. Monitor progress, track milestones, and resolve any issues or roadblocks that may arise during project implementation.

  • Project/Program Team Management: Assemble and lead a project/program team, assigning roles and responsibilities to team members. Provide direction, guidance, support, and motivation to ensure effective teamwork and collaboration.

  • Stakeholder Management and Communications: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, sponsors, project managers, external partners, and team members. Manage expectations, solve problems, elevate issues, and drive decisions. Create and help execute comprehensive change management strategies and communication plans.

  • Program/Project Governance: Establish program/project governance structures, processes, and frameworks to ensure effective decision- making, risk management, and reporting, including regular progress reporting, milestone tracking, and program status updates. Define roles and responsibilities for program governance committees and project teams.

  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources across projects within the program. Optimize resource utilization, address conflicts, and monitor resource availability to ensure project success. Collaborate with Resource Managers to secure resources for your project.

  • Budget Management: Establish project budgets, track project spending and reforecast spending regularly throughout project lifecycle.

  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues across the program. Develop mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and escalation procedures to minimize potential disruptions and address challenges. Maintain RAID log.

  • Monitoring and Control: Implement processes to monitor and control project progress, milestones, scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables. Regularly assess project and program performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide status reports to stakeholders.

  • Change Control: Manage changes within the program, including changes in scope, requirements, or timelines. Evaluate change requests, assess their impact on the program, document change decisions, and communicate changes effectively to stakeholders.

  • Quality Assurance: Define and implement quality standards, processes, and metrics to ensure high-quality deliverables. Conduct project / program audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement.

  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement based on lessons learned from completed projects. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, process enhancements, and lessons learned to drive operational excellence.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience noted below

  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive, relevant experience in an IT Program Manager role is required. Deep experience managing moderately complex IT projects from beginning to end, meeting budget, scope, schedule, and benefits targets.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams is required.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Expert in all aspects of project management including accountability for business case development, end-to-end financial and cost analysis, risk management, and organizational change management.

  • Proficient ability to manage programs involving multiple projects including resource management, generating program-level metrics, program portfolio governance and prioritization.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgPM (Program Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly desirable.

  • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification and/or Certified ScrumMaster Certification (CSM) is highly desireable.

  • In-depth knowledge and hands on experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid), as well as relevant industry standards, best practices.

  • Experience with industry standard project management tools (MS project, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps) is required.

  • Generative AI practitioner highly desired.

  • Proven ability to plan and execute the work in agile sprints while providing full transparency into the progress to complete the agreed upon project scope in alignment with project level milestones and deliverables is highly desired.

  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems development life cycle (SDLC), and enterprise software implementations is required.

  • Enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $119,000-$178,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 20%25 of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Benefits: When you join our team, you and your dependents will be offered coverage under our comprehensive employee benefits plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance. We offer a pre-tax Health Savings Account option which includes a company contribution. Other benefit options are also available such as voluntary Long-Term Care and Employee Assistance Programs. Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5%25 of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
