Salal Credit Union is hiring an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to help keep our technology environment reliable, secure, and ready to support employees and members every day. In this role, you'll support the networks, systems, cloud services, and infrastructure that power our headquarters and branch operations.

You'll be part of a collaborative IT Infrastructure team that manages enterprise technology systems across Salal. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, improving systems, supporting users, partnering with vendors, and helping strengthen the stability and security of a modern financial services technology environment.

This is a hybrid position based at our Northgate headquarters, with Monday and Wednesday expected as in-office days. The schedule generally aligns with core business hours, with occasional after-hours or weekend support for infrastructure work, maintenance, or deployments.

What you'll do:

  • Support and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless.

  • Assist with infrastructure deployments, upgrades, hardware installations, migrations, and technology lifecycle projects.
  • Support security tools and controls including firewalls, VPN, content filtering, patching, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Resolve infrastructure-related tickets in partnership with the Service Desk, IT teammates, business partners, and vendors.
  • Administer and support on-premise and cloud server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, and Microsoft 365.
  • Assist with virtual and cloud infrastructure maintenance including backups, recovery, system updates, and operational improvements.
  • Support technology projects throughout the organization, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations following change management procedures.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in network and/or systems administration.
  • Hands-on experience with networking, Microsoft on-premises and cloud environments, patch management, system maintenance, and hardware support.
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and collaborate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and business partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality support.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies and business needs.
  • Curious, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to independently drive work forward while collaborating effectively on infrastructure projects, operational initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Cisco solutions.
