Job Summary:
MetroSys, Inc. is a growing technology manufacturing company seeking a versatile IT Infrastructure Engineer. The role involves maintaining and improving the organization's IT infrastructure while working with business stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Administer and support enterprise infrastructure across networking, compute, cloud, and security platforms.
โ€ข Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless connectivity.
โ€ข Configure, maintain, and optimize Arista networking and Palo Alto firewalls.
โ€ข Support Linux-based servers and services, including system administration, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
โ€ข Administer and support cloud infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
โ€ข Monitor system health, performance, and security while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
โ€ข Support virtualization platforms and assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
โ€ข Implement security best practices, patch management, and vulnerability remediation across infrastructure components.
โ€ข Participate in infrastructure projects, including hardware refreshes, cloud initiatives, and network enhancements.
โ€ข Collaborate with the Help Desk team to resolve escalated infrastructure issues.
โ€ข Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
โ€ข Participate in after-hours maintenance and occasional on-call support as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
โ€ข Strong hands-on experience with: Enterprise networking, Linux administration, AWS cloud services, Firewall administration.
โ€ข Experience configuring and supporting Arista networking solutions.
โ€ข Experience administering Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
โ€ข Solid understanding of: TCP/IP networking, VLANs, Routing and switching, DNS and DHCP.
โ€ข Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and cloud environments.
โ€ข Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.
โ€ข Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and hybrid identity environments.
โ€ข Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
โ€ข Exposure to infrastructure automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
โ€ข Industry certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator, Palo Alto PCCET, PCNSA, or PCNSE, Arista ACE, VMware VCP, Linux+ or RHCSA.
