Job Summary:
MetroSys, Inc. is seeking a motivated IT Support Technician I to provide onsite IT support within a regional healthcare environment. This role is responsible for supporting end users, workstations, printers, peripherals, and common IT systems across hospital and clinic locations.
Responsibilities:
โข Provide onsite technical support for hospital and clinic personnel.
โข Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
โข Windows desktop and laptop systems
โข Microsoft Office applications
โข Printers and multifunction devices
โข Mobile devices and peripherals
โข Basic network connectivity
โข Install, configure, and deploy computer hardware and software.
โข Support workstation moves, adds, and changes.
โข Assist with user account support, password resets, and access-related requests.
โข Document incidents, requests, and resolutions within the ticketing system.
โข Escalate complex issues to senior technical teams when appropriate.
โข Support IT equipment inventory and asset management activities.
โข Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence in patient care and administrative environments.
โข Travel to satellite healthcare facilities as needed to provide onsite support.
Qualifications:
Required:
โข High school diploma or equivalent.
โข Technical training, vocational education, military training, or entry-level IT experience.
โข Working knowledge of: Windows 10 and Windows 11
โข Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office applications
โข Working knowledge of: Computer hardware and peripherals
โข Working knowledge of: Basic networking concepts
โข Strong customer service and communication skills.
โข Ability to follow documented procedures and troubleshooting processes.
โข Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between facilities.
Preferred:
โข CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge.
โข Prior help desk, desktop support, field technician, or customer service experience.
โข Experience supporting healthcare environments is a plus.
โข Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
โข Exposure to ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, or similar.
