Position Overview:
We are seeking an IT Program Manager to join our client's PMO and support IT infrastructure projects for our banking industry client in New York City. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of IT program/project management experience with 5 years of IT Infrastructure project management. This position will require strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
What will you do:
  • Oversee and drive end-to-end program planning, execution, and delivery across multiple IT infrastructure workstreams, ensuring alignment with overall business and technical objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, external partners, and key stakeholders to ensure consistent progress, clear communication, and seamless integration across all program components.
  • Identify program-level risks, dependencies, and issues, develop mitigation and contingency plans, and proactively escalate when necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage program timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation, ensuring workstreams stay on track and milestones are achieved according to established schedules.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation, including roadmaps, status reports, dashboards, and governance materials to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Support strategic planning and prioritization, helping define scope, organize work packages, assign ownership, and ensure consistent execution across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration with IT infrastructure teams to ensure coordinated delivery of systems, networks, environments, and migration activities within the broader program framework.
  • Own and manage some workstreams under the program, if needed

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • 10+ years of IT program/project management experience, preferably in financial services or banking.
  • 5 years of IT infrastructure project management experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networking
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (NYC/NJ) with 2-3 days onsite.
  • PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
