Job Summary
S&G Stores is hiring an IT Field Technician to support and maintain technology across a large network of retail and fuel locations. This is a field-based role focused on hands-on troubleshooting, installations, and maintaining uptime across store environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in the field, handling a mix of networking, system support, and hardware-related tasks.
Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site IT support across store locations based on incoming tickets
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, routing)
  • Support Windows environments including user accounts, devices, and Microsoft 365
  • Assist with basic server and domain-related tasks (user accounts, permissions, policies)
  • Install and maintain security camera systems and related hardware
  • Troubleshoot POS systems and back-office PCs
  • Assist with new store setups, device deployments, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure systems remain operational and minimize downtime

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in IT support, networking, or system administration
  • Strong understanding of:
  • TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
  • VPNs, VLANs, and firewall basics (Fortinet experience is a plus)
  • Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, network, and system issues independently
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with POS systems (e.g., Gilbarco Passport or similar)
