Job description

Basic Job Functions: 

The IT AI Engineer I assists in the development, deployment, and maintenance of AI automation solutions under supervision. This role supports senior engineers in integrating AI agents with enterprise systems and focuses on learning modern software engineering practices.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in software engineering or AI/ML development. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • Exposure to Python-based solutions and cloud platforms preferred. 

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Proficient in Python with exposure to FastAPI, RESTful APIs, Docker, and Azure services.

  • Eager to learn prompt engineering, vector databases, and AI/ML concepts.

  • Supports AI model development, deployment, and experimentation under guidance.

  • Assists with data engineering, Azure-based data management, and integration pipelines.

  • Contributes to testing and lifecycle management of AI-powered applications.

  • Demonstrates strong analytical, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and testing of intelligent agents to support business process automation.
  • Work with team members to implement AI solutions based on defined requirements.
  • Support integration efforts between AI components and enterprise systems.
  • Monitor deployed AI solutions and assist in troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and maintain accurate records of work.
  • Stay current with AI trends and tools and participate in team discussions on innovation.
  • Participate in research and prototyping activities under supervision.
  • Help evaluate new technologies and tools for team use.
  • Follow established AI development practices and support MLOps workflows.
  • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and AI-powered applications.
