The Opportunity
Step into a mission-driven role that directly supports secure Department of Defense (DoD) operations around the world. As an IT Engineer, you will maintain, optimize, and secure critical IT systems in a highly sensitive DoD environment-ensuring reliability, compliance, and readiness for both CONUS (within the U.S.) and OCONUS (international) deployment missions.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, values operational excellence, and is motivated to support national-level objectives while growing technically and professionally.
Responsibilities
You will play a key role in the health, performance, and security of enterprise systems. In this role, you will:
  • Monitor dashboards, alerts, server health, and network status to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, account, and permission issues for end users.
  • Create, update, and disable cloud platform accounts in accordance with security requirements.
  • Apply system, application, and network device updates on schedule or as needed.
  • Validate performance and security of firewalls, VPNs, switches, and routers, investigating anomalies when detected.
  • Confirm backup success and ensure protection of critical data assets.
  • Deploy, repair, or support desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other hardware as required.
  • Maintain accurate logs, service tickets, configuration records, and network documentation.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and meetings to support projects, incidents, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Contribute to larger efforts such as cloud migrations, system upgrades, and new technology deployments.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility).
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of IT experience, including at least one (1) year focused on implementing and troubleshooting computer components or networking hardware.
  • Experience creating technical documentation in relevant IT domains.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Current DoD Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level II certification-Security+ CE required.
  • Ability to complete and pass a customer-required medical assessment.

Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced DoD 8570/8140 certifications such as CASP+, CISSP, GCIH, or CCNP Security.
  • Prior experience working within DoD, Federal, or other classified environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments including Azure Government or AWS GovCloud.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
