Job description

Amentum is currently seeking an Information Technology Engineer based in Forest Park, GA. As the IT Engineer, you will support exploitation missions to both CONUS (Continental United States) and OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) locations. This is a full-time role that requires travel and deployment as needed to support mission requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform all necessary modifications to computer systems to ensure compliance, such that they conform to local and DoD configuration policies for both software versions and hardware components.
  • Obtain and maintain appropriate certifications to work on Government systems.
  • Work with ticketing systems to track and resolve technical issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of user and system concerns.
  • Provide technical support for establishment, test, upgrade, and operational support of systems, networks, workstations, and support equipment hardware and software.
  • Manage and support Active Directory environments, including user account creation, group policy management, permissions, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in system design, development, interim operations, maintenance, and IT architecture planning. This includes support for distributed computing, enterprise management, security and network requirements, and hardware/software maintenance and operations.
  • Coordinate with Government representatives, contractors, and vendors to schedule and ensure effective maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of systems and subsystems.
  • Provide oversight or perform installation, de-installation, integration, and preventive/corrective maintenance of systems and subsystems. As necessary, obtain specialized training and technical certifications to support advanced or unique systems.
  • Apply computer security disciplines to conduct information system security audits, risk management assessments, and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. Support information system accreditations, certifications, Command and Control Protect (C2P) policies, Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP), and installation/maintenance of system security products.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and of 4 years of relevant experience OR 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Current DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level II certification (such as CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, and/or Security+ CE).
  • Experience installing, operating, maintaining computer processors, displays, and input/output devices and associated hardware interfaces.
  • Provide technical support for establishment, test, upgrade, and operational support of systems, networks, workstations, and support equipment hardware and software.
  • Assist in information systems design, development, interim operations and maintenance, information technology architecture, IT planning, and statistical analysis support, including Information Technology (IT) support requirements for distributed computing, programming, information systems, enterprise management, security management, and security requirements.
  • Assist in the cleanup and sanitation of computers systems if infected with viruses or classifications spills.
  • Perform all necessary modifications to computer systems, such that they conform to local and DoD configuration policies for both software versions and hardware components.
  • Coordinate or perform installation/de-installation, in-service support, modifications, integration, and preventive/corrective maintenance of systems and subsystems including obtaining specialized training & technical certifications as directed for specialized systems and subsystems.
  • Coordination or execution of system installation, removal, integration, and preventive/corrective maintenance. Must be willing to obtain specialized training and certifications as required for specific systems and subsystems.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance. (Please note: US citizenship is required to obtain a US Top Secret security clearance).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active US Passport. Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (estimated travel in this role is 50%).
  • Ability to complete and pass a medical assessment in accordance with customer requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technology (IAT) Level I certification in A+ CE.
