Fairview is looking for a Manager- IT Contracts to join our team! Under the supervision of the System Director Contracting Services, this position oversees the activities and staff for software, hardware, technology services and capital equipment contract analysis, negotiation, expiration, contract pricing administration and contract compliance. This position is accountable for managing vendor relationships, working collaboratively with key stakeholders to meet System-wide contracting needs, achieve cost savings targets, and implement product conversions. The position coordinates process improvement activities related to contracting and ensures that technology is appropriately applied to each stage of the contract management. It is responsible for developing, negotiating, and maintaining system-wide high value/high risk contracts for software, hardware, technology, capital equipment and related services. This position serves as the primary advisor to the System Director Contracting for issues regarding internal and external parties questioning contract compliance issues and procurement procedures for software, hardware, technology, capital equipment, and related services. This position is mobile (remote, and some onsite).
Position Details:

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct the work of 5+ direct reports; conduct annual reviews. Oversee performance of contracting staff in the following categories: Sr. Contract Specialists, IT Contract Specialists, and Contract Specialist Associates.
  • Monitors timelines, KPI's, and quality of contract renewals, amendments, and termination using contract tracking and management system.
  • Promote standardization and cost reduction in areas of responsibility to achieve cost savings goals.
  • Analyze opportunities for standardization, cost savings, and cost avoidance.
  • Develops methodology, documents, and reports savings by project by site
  • Manage third parties' relationships like supplier, distribution, and GPO to ensure that service expectations are being met.
  • Actively manage the expiration of contracts, analysis, and renewal, as appropriate.
  • Develop, negotiate, and maintain high value/high risk system-wide contracts

Required Qualifications
  • B.S./B.A. in a business administration, healthcare administration or a related business field
  • Sufficient knowledge of and prior work experience to supervise contracting staff, Prior experience in contract developing and negotiation, Must possess coaching, evaluation, and team building skills, Prior experience in working with senior leadership and leaders of supplier representative to achieve desired result, Ability to work with supplier to create strategic business plan focused on priorities that deliver value for all parties involved, Excellent verbal and written skills, Strong interpersonal skills, Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 4 years experience in contracting with three years leadership or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of and work experience with contract management technology platforms Including web applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • M.A./M.S. in Business or related field
  • J.D.
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement and contracting
  • Expert knowledge of vendor's key areas of responsibility (top 10 suppliers, key product lines, competitive advantage of vendor and product lines)
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Technology contracts
