Job description

Our company
At Teradata, we believe that people thrive when empowered with better information. Teradata Autonomous Knowledge Platform activates enterprise intelligence by unifying data, knowledge and business context to achieve tangible outcomes. With Teradata, organizations can provide agents with full context for impact when it matters. Our solution lets businesses connect and scale on premises, in the cloud, or through a hybrid approach. Teradata delivers real business value with AI.
What You'll Do
The Partner Solution Architect is a strategic partner-facing technical role focused on enabling independent software vendor (ISV) partners to design and deliver high-value solutions on Teradata's data & analytics platform. This role combines strong cloud/data architecture expertise with partner relationship management and cross-functional teamwork to drive joint go-to-market success, customer adoption, and platform revenue.
Job Purpose:
Enable Partner Success: Serve as the technical advocate and trusted advisor to ISV partners, guiding them in building and optimizing their solutions on Teradata's platform. Focus on driving partner adoption of Teradata technologies and demonstrating the business value of joint solutions to both internal field sellers and end customers.
Drive Joint Value & Adoption: Maximize partner's solution adoption and by championing their products with Teradata's Autonomous Knowledge platform. Focus on enabling new analytic capabilities and business
outcomes for customers through our joint partner solutions.
Collaborative Growth: Align partner initiatives with Teradata's sales and product strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., field sales, product management, engineering, professional services, and partner/
alliance managers) to execute successful joint go-to-market (GTM) programs and ensure mutual business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner Solution Design & Architecture: Work closely with designated ISV partners to design and review integrated solution architectures that combine partner products with Teradata's platform. Develop reference
architectures and demos that showcase joint capabilities addressing real-world customer requirements.
Technical Support of Partners: Lead technical readiness activities for partner technical teams, such as workshops. Help partners gain proficiency with Teradata's platform, upskilling partners to understand the Teradata value proposition. Mentor partner developers to become "Teradata champions" within their organizations.
Partner-Facing Consulting: Act as the primary technical consultant and point-of-contact for partner solution development and integration challenges. Provide ongoing architecture guidance and troubleshooting
support throughout the partner development lifecycle. Advocate best practices in helping partners deliver high-quality solutions on Teradata's platform.
Joint Sales & Customer Engagement: Support partner-led sales cycles and customer engagements by providing technical expertise and solution validation. Work alongside partner sales teams and Teradata field sales to
jointly engage customers - presenting architectures, co-delivering demonstrations, addressing technical objections, and guiding customers through successful evaluation and adoption of partner-integrated solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate across internal teams (Sales, Alliance/Partner Management, Product Management, Engineering, Consulting, Support) to ensure partner needs are addressed and integrated
solutions are fully supported. Relay partner product feedback and requirements to Teradata's product/engineering teams to influence roadmap and improve integration capabilities. Align partner activities with broader account strategies and go-to-market plans for key customer opportunities, fostering a cohesive, one-team approach.
Thought Leadership & Market Enablement: Evangelize joint solutions and provide thought leadership in the community. Develop white papers, blog posts, and best-practice guides that highlight successful ISV partner
integrations and the value delivered to customers. Represent Teradata and our ISV partners as a credible technical voice at industry events, webinars, and partner marketing activities, strengthening our ecosystem and demonstrating Teradata's platform leadership in cloud analytics.
Who You'll Work With
The Partner Solution Architect is a trusted technical advisor who works closely with ISV partners and internal teams (Sales, Product, Engineering, Alliances) to ensure partner solutions are wellintegrated, scalable, and deliver tangible value to customers.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) is required. 2+ years of hands-on experience in solution
architecture, software engineering, or technical consulting roles involving cloud platforms or enterprise software solutions.
Communication & Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for both technical and business audiences. Able to present complex architectural concepts clearly, influence decision-making, and
build trust across both partner technical teams and customer stakeholders (from architects to senior executives). Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with a proactive problem-solving mindset and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Partner & Business Acumen: Prior exposure to partner-facing roles is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to influence external teams without direct authority and navigate partner organizations for joint outcomes is a strong advantage. Understanding of enterprise sales cycles, pre-sales processes, or co-selling with partners is beneficial, as is experience contributing to joint go-to-market initiatives.
Industry & Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant industry domains or solution spaces (e.g., data analytics, AI/ML, governance, security) that are common among ISV partners is a plus. Certifications in cloud architecture or data engineering (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) are advantageous as proof of expertise, though not required.
Generative AI & Automation - Experience leveraging GenAI tools (LLMs, AI-assisted coding, content generation platforms) to develop, automate, and scale technical assets like solution briefs, reference architectures, demo scripts, and enablement materials for field and partner consumption. Ability to identify where AI-driven automation can accelerate asset creation and improve deliverable consistency across the partner ecosystem.
Continuous Learning: A demonstrated habit of continuous learning and staying current with emerging technology trends in cloud, data, and SaaS ecosystems. Passion for sharing knowledge and helping others grow technically.
What You'll Bring
Growth in Partner-Influenced Business: Expansion of partner-driven sales opportunities and revenue. Success is evidenced by increased pipeline and deals where partner solutions on Teradata's platform play a key role in winning and growing customer business.
Solution Adoption & Customer Impact: Delivery of successful partner solution launches on Teradata's platform that achieve customer adoption and consumption growth. Key outcomes include joint customer wins (e.g., PoCs advancing to production) and measurable increases in consumption of Teradata services through partner offerings.
Partner Readiness & Satisfaction: High partner enablement and satisfaction - partners become self-sufficient and enthusiastic in working with Teradata's platform, as reflected in partner feedback, number of partner team members trained/certified, and continued collaboration referrals. Positive feedback from internal stakeholders (sales, alliance managers, product teams) on the Partner Solution Architect's crossfunctional coordination and value-add is also a critical indicator of success.
