With offices in Baton Rouge, Beaumont, Houston, and Corpus Christi as well as job sites around the country, ISC has grown our team as high 3,000+ associates and offers full-service engineering, construction, and maintenance solutions throughout the United States.
The Position:
We are looking for some positive, energetic, experienced Instrument Technicians with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as a part of the facility's maintenance program
  • Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments
  • Pressure test pneumatic instruments for leaks, pneumatic instruments with controllers, transducers, and valves in service
  • Perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
  • Size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
  • Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systems
  • Involve in evaluation of instrument performance to identify optimization and enhancement opportunities
  • Loop check electrical wiring for continuity and proper termination
  • Perform field calibration of electronic instruments with transmitters, controllers, transducers, valves, and recorders in service
  • Read, understand, correlate, and trouble-shoot from one-line schematics P & ID's, and ladder diagrams
  • Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
  • Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations

Requirements:
  • Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Written Skill Assessment
  • Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks
  • Minimum 5 years craft-specific experience
  • Associate's degree in Instrumentation
