Purpose and Mission
Leads and integrates HR Services delivery and Total Rewards management across North America, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and competitive, cost-effective reward practices. The role combines regional HR operations leadership with hands-on ownership of compensation and benefits programmes, with a strong focus on medical, retirement, and insurance plans administration, optimisation, and governance.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Regional HR Services Leadership
  • Lead, develop and steer the HR Services organisation across North America, covering payroll, administration, HRIS and local reward execution
  • Ensure efficient, standardised and compliant service delivery, aligned with Group HR strategy and governance
  • Act as regional escalation point for service delivery issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership teams to ensure strong operational support and employee experience
  • Lead and develop a diverse, international HR operations team

Total Rewards & Benefits Management
  • Own the design, administration, and optimisation of employee benefits programmes, including:
    • Medical, dental, vision and wellbeing plans
    • Retirement plans (e.g. 401(k), pension schemes)
    • Life, disability and voluntary insurance programmes
  • Ensure all benefit plans are compliant with relevant legislation (e.g. ERISA, IRS requirements) and properly administered
  • Act as primary liaison with external benefit providers and insurers, managing vendor performance and cost optimisation
  • Drive continuous improvement of benefit programmes balancing competitiveness, cost efficiency and employee value proposition
  • Lead communication and education efforts to ensure employee understanding and engagement with benefits

Compensation & Reward Governance
  • Oversee salary administration, job evaluation, and reward frameworks aligned with global strategy
  • Support annual compensation cycles, benchmarking, and salary structure evolution
  • Contribute to executive and long-term incentive plans implementation where applicable
  • Act as advisor to HR and business leaders on compensation and reward matters

Payroll, HRIS & Compliance
  • Ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations across US and Canada, including tax and regulatory obligations
  • Oversee HRIS systems, data integrity, reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain audit readiness and support both internal and external audits
  • Ensure proper documentation, controls and governance frameworks

Skills
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in human resources, Finance, Business or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in core HR operations and/or Total Rewards leadership, ideally in a manufacturing / industrial / production environment
  • Strong experience in benefits management (healthcare, retirement plans, insurance)
  • Experience managing payroll and HRIS systems in a complex environment. UltiPro/UKG software preferred but not necessary
  • Possess strong working knowledge of US legislation related to payroll and benefits
  • Ability to problem solve, detail -oriented and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
