This position is full time onsite at our Fermoy, Ireland facility location.


Help Build the Equipment Behind Life-Saving Medicines

At ABEC, you’ll do more than improve manufacturing processes—you’ll help build the advanced bioprocess equipment used by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies around the world to produce life-changing therapies.

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who thrives on solving problems, driving continuous improvement, and making a measurable impact on manufacturing performance. What You’ll Do
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across manufacturing operations.
  • Facilitate Lean Manufacturing activities, Kaizen events, and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Analyze manufacturing workflows, facility layouts, and equipment utilization to optimize performance.
  • Investigate production challenges, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support capital equipment projects and manufacturing technology improvements.
  • Partner with production teams to introduce new processes and improve existing methods.
  • Help create a culture of operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role within a technical or custom manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading process improvement projects and delivering measurable results.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement experience is a plus.
  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, process equipment, or complex engineered products is highly desirable.
