Job description

Are you a strategic Talent Acquisition Partner with solid experience in hiring for GTM in tech companies? Do you have a knack for finding top talent globally? If so, then this role might be for you.

If you've not heard about Aiven yet, we're building the tech stack for futuredevelopers. Our goal is to make it simple to build agents or AI applications for production use cases.

From our humble beginnings in Finland back in 2015, we've now grown to over 400 people across 17 countries, and we achieved Centaur status in 2025 when we hit $100m ARR.

But we're not done yet. Not at all. If anything, this is still the beginning.

Our mission is to solve some of the hardest problems in tech in the coming years. And so we need people across the whole companywith the right mindset and humble ambition to tackle this.

This is where you come in.

Your Mission

Attract and hire the best GTM talent across the world. Simple as that.

To do this will need the right philosophical approach: you should view Talent Acquisition as a commercial function in itself, and put your focus on driving simple and effective solutions.

Based out of Ireland or Austin, TX, you'll be partnering with senior leaders across our global hubs, and will build proactive pipelines of talent that ensures we have the right people to market and sell Aiven's products, and grow our ARR further.

If we're being honest (and we like to be transparent), your biggest problems will come from trying to find needles in haystacks. We have a high bar for talent and so it can be really tough to find those next hires at scale. As such, you'll need to enjoy a challenge, have the right mindset to learn and adapt as you go.

The good news is that we have world-class data dashboards for you to self-serve, and we're also building custom tooling to improve the entire candidate journey. Given that you'll have access to Claude for all your vibe-coding needs, and that we do regular hackathons through the year, you can help to scope and design features. Oh, and you'll have personal development budgets to look forward to as well.

In concrete terms, this means you'll be a 360° TA Partner that:

  • Acts as a strategic partner to our hiring managers, guiding them through the entire hiring process from crafting compelling job descriptions to negotiating and closing offers.
  • Focuses on attracting top talent in a global function. This will need a keen understanding of the local talent markets and being creative with engaging passive candidates.
  • Provides a world-class candidate experience through the whole lifecycle.
  • Has a team-first approach. We're a small, lean team that always supports each other.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Partner with a strong track record of hiring in GTM within a fast-paced tech company.
  • Deep expertise in hiring globally - you understand that different cultures require a different approach to hiring.
  • You're able to quickly become a trusted partner to hiring managers and someone that goes out of their way to make a difference to candidates.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
What you'll get in return

If you ask us what's the best thing about working for Aiven, we'll most likely say it's the people. We have a high concentration of talent from around the world that enjoy the agile environment of a scale-up, where you can truly make an impact.

Global Benefits:

Our global benefits are designed to help you thrive and grow, personally and professionally:

  • Participate in Aiven's equity plan.
  • Balance work and life with our hybrid work policy.
  • Choose the equipment you need to set yourself up for success.
  • Use your Professional Development Plan budget for learning opportunities.
  • Receive holistic wellbeing support through our global Employee Assistance Program.
  • Inquire about our Global Time Off Commitment (Parental and Sick Leave, as well as Personal Time)
  • Enjoy country-specific benefits for our global cast.
