We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Media Specialist and School Technology Leader to inspire and support both students and staff in developing critical literacy and digital skills.
Position Overview:
The Media Specialist and School Technology Leader plays a dual role: managing a vibrant, student-centered library program and leading the integration of educational technology across campus. This leader collaborates with educators to enrich instruction, ensures students have equitable access to print and digital resources, and oversees systems that support digital citizenship, information literacy, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities: Library & Instructional Media Leadership
  • Curate, manage, and promote a diverse collection of print and digital resources aligned with curriculum goals and student interests.
  • Support student literacy through collaboration with ELA and content area teachers.
  • Create a welcoming, organized, and inclusive library environment.

Technology Integration & Instructional Support
  • Lead campus-wide efforts in effective technology integration aligned with instructional priorities.
  • Provide professional development and coaching to staff in using learning management systems, educational apps, and digital tools.
  • Collaborate with instructional teams to design tech-enhanced lessons and blended learning opportunities.

Systems Management & Digital Leadership
  • Manage devices, inventory, and basic troubleshooting in partnership with district or network IT.
  • Promote digital citizenship and cybersecurity awareness among students and staff.
  • Stay current with emerging edtech tools and instructional practices, sharing timely updates with staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Library Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification in Technology, or a related subject (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Apple devices, and educational technology platforms.
  • Experience in troubleshooting technology issues and providing instructional technology support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to integrate technology into the learning experience.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in instructional technology

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with platforms such as Apple products, PowerSchool, Google Workspace, Clever, iReady, DeansList, Canva, and other digital learning tools.
  • Ability to manage library systems and provide basic tech support for classroom devices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
