Location: TTA #2 - Florida City Campus

Reports to: Dean of Academics

Position Summary:

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to empowering students with IEP and 504 plans to reach their fullest potential. As a Teacher on our Pre-ETS Team, you’ll create a supportive, structured, and motivational learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

You’ll play a key role in guiding students toward their graduation goals, providing individualized instruction, and collaborating with support staff to ensure that all learners receive the attention and encouragement they need to succeed. This is a role for someone who believes in second chances, meaningful growth, and changing lives through education.

Core Responsibilities:

Before the Day Begins -

  • Sign in to the time and attendance platform (15 minutes before start time).
  • Review daily learning objectives and delegate tasks to support staff (Teacher Aides).
  • Prepare the classroom and set a welcoming tone — update boards, technology, and daily motivation materials.
  • Log into the online learning platform using your assigned company laptop and ensure readiness for instruction.
  • During the Day -
  • Greet each student warmly and reinforce campus expectations.
  • Take and record attendance promptly using the online system.
  • Facilitate daily morning motivation and goalsetting activities.
  • Lead engaging lessons and smallgroup instruction focused on vocational readiness and academic development.
  • Supervise and coach support staff, ensuring consistent student engagement.
  • Address behavioral matters proactively and escalate as needed to the Dean.
  • Complete daily student reports and attendance records with accuracy.
  • After the Day Ends -

  • Dismiss students safely and ensure proper classroom closure.
  • Organize and reset the classroom for the next day.
  • File incident reports and communicate updates to leadership.
  • Conduct endofday laptop and materials inventory.
  • Additional Leadership Duties
  • Support online learners and ensure completion of virtual coursework.
  • Lead student orientations and prepare welcome materials.
  • Participate in quarterly parent/teacher conferences and all staff meetings.
  • Prepare report cards, student evaluations, and IReady assessments.
  • Support Senior Checklist completion and postsecondary readiness milestones.
  • Maintain student records (credit breakdowns, APEX courses, and updates).
  • Facilitate food service and support operational duties as needed.
  • What We Offer:
  • A collaborative, studentfocused culture driven by purpose and impact.
  • Ongoing professional development in vocational education, behavioral supports, and inclusive teaching.
  • Opportunities to advance within Foundation Academies as our programs grow.
  • The chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of youth with unique learning paths.
