The Title I Math Specialist/Interventionist provides targeted math intervention services to students identified as academically at risk in mathematics. This position supports the district's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework through evidence-based interventions, progress monitoring, collaborative problem-solving, and instructional support for classroom teachers.
The interventionist will work collaboratively with educators, intervention teams, and administrators to improve student achievement and strengthen Tier 1 and Tier 2 instructional practices.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted math intervention services through both push-in and pull-out models
  • Deliver explicit, systematic, and evidence-based math instruction
  • Organize and facilitate small-group and individualized interventions
  • Utilize assessment data, including Acadience Math, i-Ready, classroom assessments, and teacher input, to identify student needs
  • Progress monitor students regularly and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and grade-level teams to review student performance data
  • Participate actively in teacher collaborative team meetings, MTSS meetings, and Student Success Team processes
  • Support classroom teachers through modeling, coaching, and instructional collaboration
  • Assist in the development and implementation of intervention schedules and data review cycles
  • Maintain accurate records of student interventions and progress
  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to math instruction and intervention

Qualifications
  • New Hampshire certification appropriate to the assignment
  • Experience teaching mathematics and/or providing intervention support preferred
  • Knowledge of MTSS, data-driven instruction, and intervention practices
  • Experience analyzing student achievement data
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Acadience, i-Ready, and standards-based instructional practices preferred
  • Training in evidence-based math intervention strategies
  • Experience working within a Professional Learning Community (PLC) framework
  • Experience supporting diverse learners in inclusive settings

Work Year
School-year position in accordance with district calendar and Title I grant parameters.
Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with district policies and administrative procedures.
