Job description

East Noble School Corporation is accepting applications for the following vacancy:  Title 1 Teacher


Buildings:  Split time between North Side and South Side Elementary Schools

Full Time certified position starting August 3, 2026

The Title I Teacher is a licensed educator with an Elementary Education degree who oversees the implementation of reading interventions for students in buildings served under the Title I grant. This role ensures that eligible students receive targeted support, progress monitoring, and parent engagement opportunities aligned with district and federal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction & Intervention

  • Utilize a variety of research-based programs and materials to plan and deliver small-group reading interventions (e.g., UFLI, Acadience, decodable books, phonemic awareness activities).
  • Progress monitor students regularly and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Assist with a variety of assessments throughout the year to inform instruction.
  • Is willing to be trained with East Noble's current practices such as Orton-Gillingham

Collaboration & Communication

  • Communicate regularly with principals, classroom teachers, teaching assistants, and parents regarding student selection, progress, and intervention plans.
  • Send notification letters, obtain signed permission slips, and maintain logs of parent communication using ParentSquare and phone records.
  • Serve as a resource for stakeholders by providing ideas, materials, and support as needed.

Administrative & Compliance Duties

  • Track and document hours served in each building, ensuring compliance with Title I requirements based on student need and free/reduced lunch data.
  • Maintain daily time/effort logs for each building.
  • Gather and submit required Title I documentation, including selection sheets, professional development records, parent communications, and surveys.
  • Collaborate with principals and literacy coaches to determine grade levels for intervention focus each year.

Parent & Community Engagement

  • Complete and send home progress reports for parents at scheduled times (aligned with report cards and progress reporting periods).
  • Provide in-person support during conferences and respond to parent requests for additional support.
  • Host Family Reading Night events to promote parental involvement and Science of Reading-based activities; gather and submit post-event surveys.
  • Facilitate annual parent and teacher groups to review and revise the Title I Compact and policy, submitting finalized documents to ENCO by April for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with reading interventions and small-group instruction.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Title I regulations.
  • Literacy Endorsement-Science of Reading or willingness to obtain certification
