Our Operational Finance Transformation team serves as a trusted advisor and thought partner to CFOs, CAOs and other executive clients. We leverage Deloitte's comprehensive capabilities, assets, and insights to deliver innovative, market-driven solutions. Our mission is to help clients modernize their full suite of end-to-end Finance functions, including Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report processes, with the goal to enhance financial and operational performance, manage financial and audit risks, drive organizational change, and become strategic business partners within their organizations.

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Senior Consultant to join our Operational Finance Transformation team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of the full Finance function (specifically Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report) as well as the related operating model structures, technologies/solutions (including AI use cases and ERP enablement) and performance measurements. This individual will have a foundational skillset of integrating technology and process design, as well as leading complex change management initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic business transformation programs, architect effective governance structures, implement new capabilities on a global scale, and optimize functional processes by leveraging the latest technologies.

Work you'll do

As a GBS Senior Consultant on the Operational Finance Transformation team, you will be responsible for supporting business transformation initiatives that improve finance operations, service delivery, and enterprise value.

  • Support project delivery by preparing materials for meetings, workshops, and presentations, and by tracking issues, risks, decisions, and status.
  • Analyze finance processes and operating models across Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report to identify improvement opportunities and support future-state design.
  • Develop analyses, business cases, storyboards, and presentation materials to support strategic recommendations and client decision-making.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders, Deloitte teams, and technology teams to translate business requirements into governance, process, and technology solutions.
  • Support change management, stakeholder engagement, team collaboration, and practice development activities, including mentoring junior practitioners and contributing to pursuit efforts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, engineering, or information systems
  • 4+ years of consulting or industry experience in Finance Operations, including Invoice to Cash, Invoice to Pay, or Record to Report
  • Experience with service delivery model strategy, design, implementation, and optimization for multi-function or single-function organizations
  • Experience developing financial models, analyses, and business cases using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with finance operations technologies or platforms, such as artificial intelligence use cases, robotic process automation, HighRadius, BlackLine, Basware, enterprise resource planning platforms, Tableau, Power BI, ServiceNow, or Salesforce
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma
  • Certification in change management methodology, such as Prosci or ADKAR

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $116,200 to $229,100.
