Accounts Payable Clerk (Temporary / Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Vero Beach, FL
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00/hour
Schedule: Fully Onsite
A confidential company in Vero Beach is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join its growing team. This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to become temp-to-hire for the right candidate.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, has strong data entry accuracy, and enjoys working in a fast-paced accounting department. The company is experiencing significant growth, resulting in increasing invoice volume and a consistent need for skilled AP professionals who can manage a large workload while maintaining accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Process and manually enter approximately 400-500 invoices per week
  • Review invoices for accuracy and proper documentation
  • Code non-PO invoices to the correct general ledger accounts
  • Assist with weekly payment processing and check runs
  • Support weekly payment batches
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure timely payment processing
  • Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience handling high-volume invoice processing
  • Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately code invoices to general ledger accounts
  • Understanding of AP processes, payment runs, and invoice reconciliation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
