Inventory Control Coordinator – South San Francisco 

UOVO is the nation's leading storage and logistics provider for art, archives, and collectibles with state-of-the-art facilities in New York, Delaware, Florida, California, Colorado, and Texas. UOVO is operated by an expert team of industry professionals and offers bespoke solutions to meet the specialized needs of any collection. Our services include climate-controlled storage, private viewing galleries, local transportation, international shipping, installation, packing, archival photography, digital inventory management, and more.

UOVO seeks a highly collaborative, problem-solving full-time Inventory Control Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have strong organization skills, experience working in storage and collection management and will be enthusiastic about a meticulous, detail-oriented role. The Inventory Control Coordinator will report to the Operations Manager. Some weekend work may apply. 

Core Responsibilities
  • Supervise all loading dock activity including but not limited to all third party receive/releases as well as all internal UOVO receive/releases
  • Receive, prep, barcode and reconcile all incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Preparation of detailed, client-facing condition checks and condition reports as needed
  • Adhere to UOVO’s inventory control standards and ensure that accuracy is always maintained
  • Ensure Bills of Lading, Warehouse Receipts, barcodes and supplemental information is properly prepared and disseminated both internally and externally meeting all deadlines
  • Schedule all dock activity and ensure proper allocation of labor in conjunction with the Operations Manager and wider UOVO Operations team
  • Responsible for UOVO’s database to be updated with accurate information regarding inventory dimensions, pack types, location scans, etc. in relation to incoming/outgoing shipments and other large inventory projects as needed within the warehouse
  • Supervise movement of property on the loading dock to ensure highest levels of safety and accuracy as it applies to handling and corresponding paperwork
  • Assist with inventory audits and other inventory control projects, including offsite when specialized inventory and/or registration needs arise
  • Provide regular training and feedback to the Art Handler team as it pertains to inventory control to ensure the highest level of accuracy
  • Implement and always look to improve upon UOVO’s inventory control policies, ensuring that the highest inventory control standards are always maintained
  • Create and maintain access cards for all visitors on a daily basis
  • Other projects as assigned by Manager

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as 50 pounds without mechanical aid
  • Ability to carry 40 pounds of varying size and shape up to a distance of 90 feet
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead
  • Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift preferred
  • Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies, scissor lifts, genie lifts and other necessary warehouse equipment
  • Interest or experience in learning inventory management systems
This in-person position requires on-site presence at UOVOs South San Francisco and Livermore facilities five days a week and occassional requests to work nights and on weekends.
