Job description

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Scheduling and Inventory Assistant to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's Events AV department.

Position Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to provide appropriate audio video equipment for various events that occur on campus while maintaining inventory integrity and assist with scheduling out equipment.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

  • Support events throughout the main campus and 27th avenue locations.
  • Assisting with cleaning and maintenance of A/V equipment.
  • Scheduling equipment to be deployed out into the field.
  • Proper Check In/Check out process of A/V equipment.

Equipment Used:

  • Computer
  • Windows Applications
  • Flex Inventory Management Software
  • Bright Sign Software

Qualifications

  • This position has various shifts and high demand for availability. Candidates will need to have certain times and days available in order to qualify for this position.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 40lbs individually, or 70lbs team lift.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and think under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a variety of hours - including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Positive and personable attitude.

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
