Job description

Job Summary:
The Inventory Assistant will work with our growing Logistical Operations Department and report to the Inventory Control Manager. They are responsible for assisting in inventory accuracy, control, availability, products, and purchasing. They will perform inventory counts and work close with warehouse crew to increase inventory accuracy. They will help with issuing, sending, and following up on PO and STO status. Help to develop and analyze Vendor KPIs. Preform all duties related to inventory products, purchasing, inventory and supply chain tracking.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform warehouse cycle counts.
  • Interact with warehouse staff and management.
  • Review purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders as needed.
  • Contact vendors on past due orders.
  • Request return goods authorization.
  • Inventory follow up.
  • Warehouse bin data management and other data entry.
  • Making reports for the Logistical Operations Department.
  • Assist with defectives and warranty claims.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Prior purchasing, wholesale, hardware, or plumbing experience (preferred).
  • Strong ability to use Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team with a high level of motivation and self-direction.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel internal and external (Phone, Email, Face to Face).
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs (Moderate manual labor functions).
  • Able to work overtime when required.
