Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program’s goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio. 

The IT Project Coordinator Intern works closely with information technology professionals to evaluate business needs, gather viable information, and assist in delivering solutions. The Project Coordinator Intern will play a key role during the Project Lifecycle to help collect requirements, facilitate planning, and monitor execution of initiatives. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Acts as a liaison between IT Professionals and Business Users. 

  • Elicits, documents, analyzes, and reviews business & technical requirements (User Stories).  

  • Leads problem solving efforts between cross functional teams 

  • Works with Project Managers to plan overall project strategy, assess risk, create a schedule, and allocate resources. 

  • Engages with project team to manage key action items, coordinate meetings, and take thoughtful notes

SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • Detail oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment. 

  • Understands general business functions/workflows and is able to quickly adapt to new areas of the business.  

  • Self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines. 

  • Candidate must be enthusiastic, a self-starter and have the ability to work in a group or independently  

  • Strong analytical skills. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Pursuing a 2-year or 4-year college degree in Computer Information Systems, Project Management, Management Information Systems or another related field. 

  • Experience with project management tools a plus (Jira, Workday, Monday.com, etc.) 

  • Advanced Excel Skills (Vlookups, Pivot tables) 

  • Passion or interest for organization, technology, and working through ambiguous concepts  

  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior Standing.
