Intersport is recognized as the largest independent producer of major college and high school sports events and experiences and is the proud owner and operator of the โ€œSkechers World Champions Cup supporting Shriners Childrenโ€™sโ€ and the โ€œDouble Eagle Clubโ€ in Augusta, GA. The Chicago-based agency also is the majority owner and operator of the APP TOUR, the worldโ€™s first, largest and only sanctioned professional pickleball tour.

Founded in 1985, Intersport is headquartered in Chicago, with additional offices in New York and Tampa.

The Insights & Strategy team supports all areas of expertise and is integral to providing existing clients with a variety of solutions as well as furthering business development efforts. While all members of the Insights & Strategy team are expected to be well-rounded sports and entertainment marketers, we are seeking a strategic thinker who enjoys solving business problems through data. Success in this role requires someone who can quickly master Intersport's proprietary sponsorship valuation methodology, think creatively about how to analyze and interpret data, and turn analysis into clear business recommendations.

This role offers the opportunity to become one of the industry's leading experts in sponsorship valuation while working across many of the world's most recognized sports and entertainment properties and biggest brands.

Responsibilities Team Support
  • Assist fellow team members in providing the thought leadership, guidance and direction that serves as the foundation for the sports and entertainment marketing strategies and activation platforms of both clients and prospects
  • Build trusted relationships across clients and internal teams
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of client marketing objectives and how Intersportโ€™s practice groups are uniquely positioned to achieve those goals
Measurement, Valuation, and Analytics
  • Quickly learn and apply Intersport's proprietary sponsorship valuation methodology and the tools and processes that support it
  • Provide measurement and analytics-related support necessary for developing new business proposals, strategies, and recommendations to clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze large, complex, and often incomplete datasets to support sponsorship valuation and strategic decision making
  • Help translate findings and develop recommendations and points of view to best leverage data, research, and analytics to inform sponsorship strategy, activation, and optimization
  • Develop compelling presentations that combine analytical rigor with persuasive narrative to build a comprehensive story rooted in data to bring insights to life in the real world
  • Demonstrate excitement for findings and recommendations and apply an outward bound, consultative approach to informing colleagues, including members of the Insights & Strategy team, internal Intersport account teams and external client teams, about how your findings can drive Intersportโ€™s or a clientโ€™s business
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve methodologies and processes
Leadership and Team Development
  • Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members through feedback and subject matter expertise
  • Review work for quality, accuracy and consistency while reinforcing best practicesli>
  • Help build a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement
Salary and Benefits

The targeted salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000, depending on full-time, non-internship professional relevant experience. Manager requires 4 (four) to 6 (six) yearsโ€™ experience; Senior Manager requires 6 (six) to 8 (eight) yearsโ€™ experience.

This position includes medical, dental, vision, parental leave benefits and 401(k) with company match for qualified employees. This position does not include bonuses, commissions, or other incentives.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in sponsorship measurement, analytics, valuation, research, consulting, or related marketing disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience providing sponsorship measurement and analytics-focused deliverables
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with clients and cross-functional teams, Application of superior prioritization and time-management skills
  • Detail and process oriented
  • Ability to produce high quality work at a fast pace
  • Flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential, including manipulating large datasets, building analytical models and improving efficiency
  • Demonstrated success coaching, mentoring or managing team members
