What Can You Expect

  • Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations including OSHA and DOT as required.
  • Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices, rain-day safety training and coordinates any specialized safety training and/or certifications for the employees.
  • Performs unannounced/random safety audits and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree preferred
  • Certification of CSP, ASP, GSP, or CHST desired
  • 2 years experience in construction industry, project leadership and/or safety related experience; internship may qualify
  • Travel will be required depending on jobsite locations.
  • Must possess working knowledge of or demonstrate willingness to learn how to use the following software applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, Bluebeam, MS Project, Safety Auduit Software and Viewpoint Field Work Center
  • Receive all instructor level certifications for all safety training required by employees of the company.
  • Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
