Job description

Tennis Channel is offering an unpaid summer internship for students centered on production operations. This role offers a hands-on, educational experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities across studio and remote broadcasts. The internship is designed to provide real-world exposure to live sports production workflows while earning academic credit.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Understanding of production operations in live sports media
  • Experience with scheduling, logistics, and broadcast planning
  • Exposure to crew coordination and production systems
  • Insight into standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a broadcast environment
  • Development of organizational and communication skills

Learning Opportunities

  • Providing support with Lasso crew and event scheduling software, including SOP-related tasks
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining Production Operations SOP documentation
  • Supporting PBTV production planning and logistics
  • Assisting with production planning and scheduling for studio and remote broadcasts
  • Supporting remote production logistics and coordination efforts

Qualifications

  • Current college student eligible for academic credit
  • Interest in broadcast production, sports media, or operations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with production tools or scheduling systems is a plus
  • Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Available to be fully on site in our Santa Monica office
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 15-20 hours per week and 2 days per week
