The Role

This role supports Cahaba Medical Care’s internal and external communications through thoughtful, well-crafted visual design. You will work across print and digital projects that support marketing, fundraising, recruitment, and internal communications.

This is an ideal role for a designer with early professional experience who wants to keep learning, stretch creatively, and work closely with a collaborative team in a mission-driven environment.

You will contribute, learn, and be trusted with real work.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Designing print and digital materials, including flyers, social graphics, signage, presentations, reports, and branded templates

  • Supporting visual storytelling across marketing, fundraising, recruitment, and internal communications

  • Assisting with photography and video capture for events, staff, clinics, and storytelling projects

  • Helping organize and maintain brand assets, templates, and visual standards

  • Collaborating with communications, development, and program teams to meet creative needs

  • Receiving feedback well and iterating designs thoughtfully and efficiently

  • Supporting special campaigns, events, and initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications
  • One to three years of graphic design experience, including professional, internship, or equivalent experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop

  • Solid mastery of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail

  • Willingness to learn and grow across creative disciplines and software platforms

Additional Qualifications
  • Photography and photo editing

  • Video skills, including shooting and simple editing
