Job Summary:
INSPYR Solutions is a leading expert in delivering flexible technology and talent solutions. They are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with U.S. Navy sonar system expertise to develop and maintain electronic technical manuals, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational documentation supporting fleet personnel.
Responsibilities:
• Create and update IETMs, technical manuals, user guides, and training materials.
• Document system operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to gather, validate, and organize technical information.
• Ensure documentation meets quality, accuracy, and program requirements.
• Develop supporting diagrams, illustrations, and other technical content as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience.
• 6+ years supporting AN/SQQ-89(V) sonar systems in operational and maintenance environments.
• Experience writing documentation for complex electronic, mechanical, electrical, or networked systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong technical writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Active Secret Clearance or ability to gain one
Preferred:
• Experience with shipboard sonar and combat systems integration.
• Knowledge of networking, fault isolation, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with HTML, XML, content management tools, and electronic technical manuals.
• Experience with NAVSEA sonar platforms including SIPS, AN/SQQ-28, AN/SQR-19, MK 116, AN/SQS-53C, and ARCI.
