Summary of Responsibility:
Are you mechanically inclined, curious about advanced manufacturing technology, and eager to build a long-term technical career? Tsugami America is seeking an Field Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for recent technical school graduates, early-career technicians, or individuals with hands-on mechanical or electrical aptitude who want to learn and grow.
As a Field Service Technician, you will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of Tsugami CNC machine tool equipment at customer facilities throughout New England.
What You Will Contribute:
With training and support from experienced technicians, you will:
  • Travel to customer sites to assist with the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tool equipment and controls
  • Learn how to identify performance issues and assist with preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime
  • Support the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
  • Use machine manuals, technical documentation, and internal resources to research and resolve machine issues
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding service status, next steps, and completed work
  • Complete service documentation accurately (service reports, install reports, etc.)
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Participate in ongoing technical training, safety training, and manufacturer-led seminars
  • Continuously develop your technical knowledge of Tsugami product lines and evolving CNC technology
