Job description

Annual salary range: $108,180.80 min. - $156,852.80 max.


This position provides shift-level oversight of daily operations for Lab Assistants and Clinical Laboratory Scientists, including scheduling support, quality control/assurance, instrument maintenance, proficiency testing participation, staff training, and compliance with CAP and applicable regulatory standards. Serves as a laboratory resource for medical staff during off-hours, communicates critical results, and ensures appropriate documentation in the laboratory information system.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Medical Technology, or Biological Science preferred.

2. Completion of an approved internship or formal training program in Medical Technology preferred.

3. Three years of experience in laboratory testing required.

4. Three years of supervisory experience preferred.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

1. Valid California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist

2. MAB is required to be completed on the first day of work. (Grandfathered: existing employees must complete new requirements by 6/9/2025.)
