Job description

We are seeking an entry-level IT Helpdesk Technician to support end users in a Windows-based environment. This role is ideal for someone starting their IT career who is eager to build technical skills while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level (Tier 1) technical support for end users via phone, email, and ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and standard desktop applications
  • Assist with password resets, account unlocks, and basic user management in Active Directory
  • Set up, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
  • Support common IT issues such as network connectivity, VPN access, printers, and mobile devices
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system
  • Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff as needed
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes, including device setup and user account creation
Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or customer service (internships or coursework acceptable)
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Understanding of basic hardware (PCs, laptops, printers) and troubleshooting concepts
  • Exposure to Active Directory or similar user/account management tools is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred (Nice to Have)
  • CompTIA A+ certification or working toward certification
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, IP, VPN)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
