Overview
Position Summary
The Fleet Service Advisor serves as a primary point of contact between customers, service providers, and internal teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles. This role is responsible for coordinating vehicle service needs, authorizing repairs within guidelines, and delivering a high level of customer service. The Fleet Service Advisor plays a critical role in maximizing vehicle uptime and supporting overall fleet operational efficiency.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage maintenance and repair activities for assigned fleet vehicles
  • Serve as the main contact for customers and service vendors regarding vehicle service needs
  • Review and authorize repair estimates in accordance with company policies and cost controls
  • Monitor vehicle downtime and work proactively to reduce service delays
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation within fleet management systems
  • Communicate repair status updates clearly and professionally to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure repairs comply with safety, warranty, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal operations, maintenance, and customer service teams to resolve service issues

Physical Requirements
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in automotive, business, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in fleet service, automotive service advising, or maintenance coordination
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and service operations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple service requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with fleet management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support fleet operations
