Job description

TAG Refrigeration is seeking an EMS (Energy Management Systems) Foreman to support commercial refrigeration construction projects in and around the Denver, CO area.
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled EMS (Energy Management System) Foreman to support commercial refrigeration construction projects. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of refrigeration control and EMS systems in commercial environments.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in refrigeration controls, low-voltage wiring, and conduit installation, along with proven experience coordinating crews, schedules, and jobsite activities. This position requires the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
System Installation & Coordination
• Supervise the installation, commissioning, and startup of EMS and refrigeration control systems
• Read and interpret plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation
• Coordinate all phases of EMS installation to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
• Install and run conduit for electrical wiring and control systems
• Pull and terminate low-voltage wiring for EMS and refrigeration controls
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes
Team Leadership & Supervision
• Lead, supervise, and support electricians and technicians during installation and troubleshooting
• Delegate work assignments and ensure adequate manpower for daily jobsite activities
• Promote compliance with safety policies and quality standards
• Assist with training, mentoring, and development of less experienced team members
Job Coordination & Scheduling
• Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to plan and maintain project schedules
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates, risks, or delays to leadership
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and productivity standards
Technical Expertise & Support
• Utilize advanced knowledge of refrigeration controls and EMS systems to troubleshoot field issues
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support during installations
• Stay current with industry technologies, safety regulations, and best practices
Safety & Compliance
• Promote and adhere to company safety policies and procedures
• Ensure safe work practices are followed by all crew members and subcontractors
• Participate in safety meetings and support incident or near-miss investigations as required
Travel
• Travel to job sites as needed, including short-notice travel, to support installations and resolve technical issues
Qualifications & Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and EMS system installation
• Strong understanding of refrigeration control systems, EMS platforms, and low-voltage wiring
• Experience installing conduit and control wiring in commercial environments
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Proven experience coordinating job sites, schedules, and crews
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to travel as required
