Editorial Assistant

Are you a detail-oriented communicator with a passion for publishing and a heart for ministry? At Our Daily Bread Ministries, we are a global, mission-driven organization committed to helping people engage with Godโ€™s Word.

As the Editorial Assistant, you will support the creation of Our Daily Bread Publishing (ODBP) books and resources by providing editorial, administrative, and production assistance to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Provide editorial support, including proofreading and manuscript preparation.
  • Format and style manuscripts in Microsoft.
  • Assist with book production, including cover coordination and print-ready files.
  • Review and implement proofreading corrections in collaboration with editors and designers.
  • Help manage project timelines and maintain publishing workflows.
  • Maintain file archives and update reprints and new editions.
  • Perform administrative tasks, research, and internal coordination.
  • Participate in team and production meetings; support special projects as needed.


What You Bring

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in English, journalism, publishing, or related.
  • 2+ years of publishing or related experience or an editorial internship.
  • Strong proofreading skills.
  • Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat; InDesign a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
