About Our Internship Program
The Colorado Eagles are committed to providing college students with a one-of-a-kind internship program that will prepare you for your future career in the sports industry. With the Eagles, you will be able to learn from some of the best in the industry and strengthen your skills and knowledge in sports management. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with Eagles front office staff members and learn how a professional team operates through a multitude of real-life tasks and situations.
How To Make Our Team
Our interns bring a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. Working in sports requires a significant time commitment, so we expect all interns to be available for 90% of games and a substantial portion of community appearances and events. Games and events may occur on nights, weekends, and/or holidays, and we kindly request that you consider this before applying. We require that all interns have a reliable form of transportation to and from games and community events and maintain a professional appearance when working for the Eagles.
Why Digital Media?
Digital Media has proven to be one of the most important touchpoints with fans and customers over the past few years. This position offers considerable creative freedom and encourages individuals to generate innovative ideas. If you enjoy being creative in various capacities and are excited to engage with our fan base, you've come to the right place.
What You Will Gain from Us

  • Career guidance and coaching from our front office staff.
  • Experience in developing and executing photography work for digital and social media.
  • Learn about all aspects of digital media and visual content, and contribute to creating content for the team and our players.

Your Responsibilities
  • Ideate and create compelling, social-specific content, both photo and video, of Eagles games, practices, players' lifestyles, and community events.
  • Assist the Digital Media Manager with writing engaging, timely, and on-brand copy for social media posts during games, practices, and events.
  • Manipulate graphical templates and conceptualize ideas for engaging graphics.
  • Assist with monitoring daily content and fan engagement across social channels - actively engage and respond to followers and brainstorm ways to increase social conversation.
  • Assist in tracking metrics for all organic content and sponsorship initiatives and building weekly and monthly reports for Eagles management.
  • Assist in scheduling and implementing a monthly/weekly/daily social media calendar.
  • Identify top players and fans and develop behind-the-scenes, off-ice, and community feature storylines and narratives around them.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and generate ideas for social content that will engage and entertain fans.
  • Capturing content at practices, team events, and home games.
  • Assisting with editing, organizing, and archiving all photos, along with helping curate photo galleries for the team's website.
  • Assist with the management of the team's photo archive, including the sorting of all photos into the digital photo drive.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes.
  • Experience in capturing and editing photo and video content, using both cell phone and DSLR camera during game and non-game settings.
  • Strong visual eye for social media graphics, photography, videos, etc.
  • General experience with Adobe Suite is preferred, with experience in Photoshop and Premiere being a plus.
  • Experience managing various social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) is a plus, but not required.
  • Must have strong writing, grammar, and proofreading skills, and sound editorial judgment.
  • Capacity to think creatively and contribute new ideas.
  • Strong desire to continue learning and growing their career, strengths/weaknesses, and skills.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in college and able to receive school credit.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
  • Availability to work on all Eagles home game nights from about 4 pm to 10 pm.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond the internship responsibilities.

This is an unpaid position for college credit. All applicants will ideally be currently enrolled in college or a trade school. If you are interested, please submit your resume and cover letter through TeamworkOnline.com.
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
