Job description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on-site at our Kingsford, MI location.
The Electrical Engineer is an entry level position that will have the opportunity to design and develop electrical controls/automation of assigned engineering tasks and projects while under close supervision of Senior Electrical Engineers.
MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Interpretation of and compliance with customer purchase specifications.
  • Develop design or design concept and product specifications within cost and budget goals.
  • Make preparation of layout drawings and schematics.
  • Perform electrical calculations.
  • Perform Programming for PLCs, VFDs, and other requirements as required.
  • Prepare detail and assembly drawings.
  • Confer with engineering mentor on problems encountered and questions arising on project.
  • Develop requirements for and specify purchase components.
  • Support manufacturing and customers by troubleshooting and testing products.
  • Communicate with other organizational operations on project requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and other assigned activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S.E.E or 4-year Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Internship in electrical design of powered (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic) machinery.
  • Electrical Equipment experience includes integration of VFDs, Motors, Contactors, relays, HMIs, and Panel design.
  • Must be able to travel between plant locations and to customer sites based on project needs; short notice travel may be required.
