We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Project Management Specialist to support and lead key accounting initiatives, including system implementations, process improvements, and cross-functional projects.

This role serves as a critical link between accounting operations, reporting, and technology teams, ensuring projects are effectively planned, executed, and aligned with financial reporting requirements and internal controls. The ideal candidate combines accounting knowledge with strong project management and process improvement capabilities.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead and coordinate accounting-related projects, including system implementations and process improvement initiatives
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, milestones, and responsibilities
  • Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve project risks and issues
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on project status to leadership

Process Improvement

  • Evaluate existing accounting processes across billing, governance, and reporting functions
  • Identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and opportunities for automation or standardization
  • Recommend and support implementation of process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Document workflows, procedures, and role responsibilities to enhance clarity and accountability

Systems & Technology Support

  • Partner with IT on accounting system implementations and upgrades
  • Support testing, deployment, and post-implementation activities
  • Evaluate current systems and recommend enhancements or alternative solutions

Qualifications
